1. Refund Policy Overview

At asktodo.ai we strive to provide exceptional AI-powered productivity tools. This refund policy explains the limited circumstances under which refunds may be granted and the process for requesting them.

Important: Every account gets a free monthly credit allowance to fully evaluate the service before paying. Because of that, and because of the immediate, irrevocable delivery of digital services, all sales are final except for the exceptional cases below.

2. Subscription Refunds

2.1 Refund Eligibility

Due to the digital nature of our AI services and immediate access to tools and content generation, all sales are final. Refunds are only considered in exceptional circumstances:

  • Technical Issues: Prolonged service outages or technical problems preventing service use
  • Billing Errors: Incorrect charges or duplicate transactions
  • Account Issues: Unauthorized access or fraudulent activity
  • Service Limitations: Significant undisclosed limitations that prevent normal service use

2.2 Subscription Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period, but no refund will be provided for the remaining time.

Refund: Full refund of the current billing period, subject to the conditions above.

2.3 Subscription Renewals

Subscription renewals are not eligible for refunds. If you wish to cancel, please do so before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next billing period.

3. Credit Pack Refunds

3.1 Credit Pack Policy

Additional credit packs purchased by paid subscribers are non-refundable because:

  • Credits are immediately added to your account upon purchase
  • Credits can be used instantly for AI tool generation
  • Digital credits have no physical return mechanism

3.2 Exceptional Circumstances

Credit pack refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances:

  • Technical Error: System error resulted in incorrect credit deduction
  • Duplicate Purchase: Accidental duplicate purchase within 24 hours
  • Payment Error: Unauthorized or fraudulent transaction
  • Service Failure: Significant service outage preventing credit usage

4. Refund Eligibility Criteria

4.1 Eligible for Refund

  • Technical Issues: Persistent technical problems preventing service use
  • Service Outage: Extended service unavailability (>24 hours)
  • Billing Errors: Incorrect charges or duplicate billing
  • Unauthorized Charges: Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
  • Account Termination: We terminate your account due to our error

4.2 Not Eligible for Refund

  • Change of Mind: Simply no longer wanting the service
  • Unused Credits: Credits that expire due to non-usage
  • Policy Violations: Account suspended/terminated for violations
  • Excessive Usage: Used more than 25% of credits (for new subscriptions)
  • Free Plan: Free plan users (no payment made)
  • Promotional Offers: Special pricing or promotional subscriptions
  • Third-Party Issues: Problems with Razorpay or its underlying payment methods (cards, UPI, net-banking, PayPal) that are not caused by us

5. How to Request a Refund

5.1 Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  2. Provide Information: Include your account email, transaction ID, and reason for refund
  3. Wait for Review: We'll review your request within 2-3 business days
  4. Receive Decision: You'll receive an email with our decision and next steps
  5. Processing: If approved, refunds are processed within 5-7 business days

5.2 Required Information

Please include the following in your refund request:

  • Account email address
  • Razorpay transaction / order ID from your receipt
  • Date of purchase
  • Detailed reason for refund request
  • Screenshots of any technical issues (if applicable)

5.3 Response Timeline

  • Initial Response: Within 24 hours
  • Review Process: 2-3 business days
  • Refund Processing: 5-7 business days (if approved)
  • Payment Processing: May take additional 1-3 days to appear in your account

6. Refund Methods and Processing

6.1 Refund Method

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase:

  • Digital Payments: Refunded to your original payment account
  • Credit/Debit Cards: Refunded to the original payment method

  • Our Error: Full refund of unused portion
  • Service Discontinuation: Prorated refund offered

In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, government actions, etc.) that prevent service delivery, we may offer:

  • Prorated refunds (at our discretion)

8. Consumer Rights

8.1 EU Consumer Rights

EU consumers have additional rights under EU consumer-protection law (Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU):

  • 14-Day Withdrawal Right: Right to withdraw from a digital-content contract within 14 days of conclusion.
  • Express Waiver (Article 16(m)): Because you receive a generous monthly free credit allowance to fully evaluate the service before upgrading, by upgrading to a paid plan you expressly acknowledge that the digital service is being delivered immediately and you expressly consent to the loss of the 14-day cooling-off right to the extent permitted by Article 16(m) of the Directive.
  • Conformity Rights: Right to a service that conforms to its description and to remedies (price reduction, contract termination) if it does not.

8.2 UK Consumer Rights

UK consumers have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • Right to reject faulty digital content
  • Right to repair or replacement
  • Right to price reduction or refund

8.3 India

asktodo.ai is operated from Karnataka, India. Consumer disputes are addressed under Indian consumer-protection law including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable.

8.4 Other Jurisdictions

Consumer rights vary by jurisdiction. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection laws.
