Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. By using asktodo.ai, you agree to these legally binding terms.

Last updated: May 18, 2026 | Effective Date: May 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using asktodo.ai (the “Service”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and asktodo.ai. You must be at least 18 years of age to register or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

asktodo.ai is an AI-powered productivity platform. The Service includes (but is not limited to):

  • Content creation tools: Blog writing, article drafting, ad copy, social posts, captions
  • Career tools: Resume builder with PDF / DOCX / LaTeX export, cover-letter composer
  • Education tools: Lesson plans, summaries, study material generators
  • Email outreach platform: Contact management, campaign builder, deliverability tracking, automated sending via your own connected Gmail account or custom SMTP server
  • AI chat assistant for interactive help
  • File / document utilities such as background removal, file extraction

2.1 Service availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance, security incidents, or technical issues without prior notice where impractical.

3. User Accounts & Account Security

3.1 Account creation

To use most features you must create an account via Supabase Auth, signing in with email + password, Google OAuth, or GitHub OAuth. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to keep it up to date.

3.2 Your responsibilities

  • Keep your credentials confidential
  • Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately at hi@asktodo.ai of any unauthorized access or suspected breach
  • Do not share or transfer your account credentials to any other person

3.3 Account termination by you

You may delete your account at any time via Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible after 30 days — see the Privacy Policy, Section 8.

4. Subscriptions, Credits & Billing

4.1 Credit-based model

The Service operates on a credit-based monthly billing model. Credits are deducted from your balance when you use AI tools. The number of credits a single use consumes depends on input length, file uploads, output length, complexity, and tool tier. The current credit costs for each tool are displayed inside the tool before you confirm.

4.2 Free plan and paid tiers

We offer one free plan with a fixed monthly allowance plus several paid tiers with progressively larger credit allowances, lower per-credit cost, and additional features (such as partial credit rollover). The names, prices, and credit allowances of the paid tiers are shown at /pricing and may change from time to time. By subscribing you accept the plan as shown on the checkout screen.

4.3 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Razorpay as the merchant of record. Razorpay exposes multiple payment methods, including cards, UPI, net-banking, and PayPal — you choose the method at checkout. We do not store raw card or bank account details ourselves. Your payment is also subject to Razorpay's own terms.

4.4 Auto-renewal

Your subscription is set to auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle using your saved payment method, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Dashboard → Billing — cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period. We will send a renewal receipt to your registered email after every successful charge.

4.5 Price changes

If we change prices for an existing paid tier, we will give registered subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not accept the new price you may cancel before the next renewal.

4.6 Refunds

All sales are final. Because you receive a generous free credit allowance to evaluate the Service before paying, by upgrading you expressly acknowledge that the digital service is being delivered immediately, and you waive any cooling-off right to the extent permitted by law (including EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) and equivalents). Exceptional refund cases (billing error, duplicate charge, prolonged outage) are handled per our Refund Policy.

5. Email Outreach Platform

5.1 How it works

The outreach platform lets you connect your own Gmail account (via Google OAuth) or any custom SMTP server, upload contact lists, build campaigns, and send messages directly through your connected account. asktodo.ai does not relay messages through any third-party Email Service Provider on your behalf.

5.2 Your warranties when uploading contacts

By uploading any contact list, CSV, or pasted set of recipient details into the Service, you explicitly warrant and represent that:

  • You own or have the lawful right to use every email address and data point you upload.
  • You have a valid legal basis to communicate with each recipient under all applicable laws, including but not limited to the US CAN-SPAM Act, the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, Canada's CASL, India's DPDP Act, Australia's Spam Act 2003, and any local equivalents.
  • You will honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Our platform provides automated unsubscribe detection and a per-user suppression list, but the legal burden of compliance rests with you as the sender.
  • You will not impersonate any other person, brand, or organization.

5.3 Mandatory sender identification & physical postal address

asktodo.ai is a networking and outreach platform. If you use it to send any commercial, marketing, business-development, or cold-outreach email, you are legally required — in almost every jurisdiction in the world — to include in every message you send:

  • An accurate identification of you as the sender: your real name or your registered business / organization name (not a misleading alias).
  • A valid physical postal address at which you can be contacted. For businesses this is your registered office, place of business, mailing address, or a properly designated post-office box; for individuals it is your current postal address.
  • A clear, working unsubscribe / opt-out mechanism that takes effect within 10 business days (CAN-SPAM) or sooner where local law is stricter.
  • Truthful, non-deceptive subject lines and routing / header information.

This is required by, among other regimes:

  • United States — CAN-SPAM Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq. — valid physical postal address is mandatory in every commercial email; FTC fines reach US$53,088 per violating email.
  • Canada — CASL (S.C. 2010, c. 23) — sender identification + contact information is mandatory; CRTC penalties reach C$10,000,000 per violation for businesses.
  • European Union — ePrivacy Directive + Directive 2000/31/EC (E-Commerce Directive), Article 5 — commercial communications must clearly identify the natural or legal person on whose behalf they are sent.
  • United Kingdom — PECR + the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 — equivalent identification + contact-address requirement.
  • India — DPDP Act, 2023 + TRAI commercial-communication rules — sender identity and contact details must be disclosed.
  • Australia — Spam Act 2003 (Cth) — mandatory accurate identification of the individual or organization that authorized the message.

What this means for you in practical terms:

  • Every campaign you send must include your real name or registered business name and a valid physical postal address in the email footer (or equivalent visible location).
  • You must add this information yourself in the email template — asktodo.ai does not insert it automatically, because we do not collect or verify your offline address.
  • If you operate as a registered company you should use your registered office or principal place of business; if you operate as an individual professional you should use a postal address where you can actually receive mail.
  • P.O. boxes are acceptable under CAN-SPAM and most other regimes provided they are properly designated to you.

Consequences of non-compliance: If we detect campaigns being sent without proper sender identification and physical address, we reserve the right to pause the campaign, suspend your sending privileges, and in repeated cases terminate your account. Regulatory fines, lawsuits, or enforcement actions arising from your non-compliance are your sole responsibility under Section 13 (Indemnification).

5.4 Tracking disclosure to recipients

If you enable open-tracking pixels or click-tracking links on a campaign, you are responsible for disclosing this to recipients where the law requires it. Several EU jurisdictions and consumer-protection regulators consider undisclosed pixel tracking to require prior consent. We recommend including a clear notice in your campaign footer.

5.5 What the platform provides

  • Direct campaign delivery via your Gmail OAuth account or custom SMTP server
  • Contact list management, CSV import with automated field detection
  • DNS / MX resolution caching, fallback resolvers, and bounce processing
  • Open, click, and bounce analytics
  • Per-user suppression list and unsubscribe handling
  • AI-assisted email content generation

5.6 Prohibited email activities

You may not use the outreach platform to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk email (“spam”) without a lawful basis
  • Use deceptive subject lines, sender names, or routing headers
  • Include malware, viruses, phishing payloads, or fraudulent payment links
  • Circumvent unsubscribe mechanisms or re-mail suppressed addresses
  • Send content prohibited by Section 7 of these Terms
  • Violate any anti-spam, data-protection, or privacy law in any jurisdiction

5.7 Provider account bans

Your connected Gmail or SMTP account is provided to you by Google or your SMTP host respectively, under their own terms. asktodo.ai is not liable if Google, your SMTP host, or any inbox provider rate-limits, suspends, or terminates your sending account because of the campaigns you send. You are responsible for staying within the sending limits of your own account.

5.8 Platform limitations

  • We do not verify recipient consent or scrub your lists for you.
  • We do not guarantee inbox placement or specific deliverability rates.
  • We do not guarantee that any specific recipient will receive your message.

6. Platform Security & Anti-Abuse

To protect the Service for all users, asktodo.ai implements:

  • Unified per-IP and per-user rate limiting on sensitive endpoints
  • IP-window throttling and brute-force detection on authentication routes
  • Automated monitoring of sudden sending volume spikes, suspicious URL patterns, and scam-content signatures in outgoing campaigns
  • Detection of credential stuffing, suspicious user agents, and known bot fingerprints
  • Automated content scanning of outgoing email-campaign subject lines and bodies for spam, scam, phishing, and malware signatures — campaigns matching those signatures may be paused or blocked pending review

You agree not to attempt to bypass, disable, or reverse-engineer any of these protections, and not to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except as part of a coordinated disclosure invited in writing by us.

7. Acceptable Use

7.1 Permitted uses

You may use the Service for legitimate personal, business, educational, and creative purposes in compliance with applicable law and these Terms.

7.2 Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate or distribute content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, or promotes violence or self-harm
  • Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexualizing minors
  • Generate non-consensual intimate imagery or deepfake content of identifiable individuals
  • Infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual-property right
  • Create medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice that will be relied on without human professional review
  • Engage in spam, unsolicited communications, or deceptive marketing
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service or any of its dependencies
  • Impersonate any other person or organization
  • Deliberately create false or misleading information designed to deceive (e.g. election disinformation, fake news for distribution)
  • Use the Service for any highly regulated activity (e.g. firearms sales, controlled substances, gambling without a license) without first obtaining all required licenses and our prior written approval

7.3 Content moderation

We reserve the right to moderate, restrict, or remove content that violates these Terms. Automated systems may flag content for review; human review may follow.

7.4 Enforcement

Violations may result in warnings, throttling, temporary suspension, permanent termination, revocation of API or OAuth access, and where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit and content the AI generates for you. You grant asktodo.ai only the limited, worldwide, royalty-free license needed to:

  • Process and store your content to provide the Service
  • Display your content back to you within the platform
  • Cache content as needed for performance

8.2 We do not train on your content

We do not use your inputs or generated outputs to train any AI model — ours or any third party's. The license you grant is operational only.

8.3 Our intellectual property

The asktodo.ai brand, software, UI, copy, prompts, internal workflows, documentation, and proprietary methods remain our exclusive intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in them other than the right to use the Service.

8.4 AI-generated content disclaimer

You acknowledge that AI-generated content:

  • May contain factual errors, hallucinations, biases, or outdated information
  • May not be unique — similar output may be produced for other users with similar prompts
  • Should be reviewed and edited by a human before being used for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or otherwise consequential decisions
  • Is provided without warranty as to copyright clearance — you should verify originality before publication

8.5 DMCA / copyright complaints

If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, please email hi@asktodo.ai with: the work claimed to be infringed, the location (URL) of the infringing material, your contact details, your good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and your signature (electronic acceptable).

9. Connected Email Accounts (Gmail OAuth & SMTP)

When you connect a Gmail account via OAuth, you authorize asktodo.ai to send messages on your behalf using the minimum scope necessary. We do not read your inbox.

asktodo.ai's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

For custom SMTP, you provide credentials that we encrypt and use only to establish authenticated SMTP connections to send your messages. You can disconnect either type of account at any time from Dashboard → Email Outreach → Accounts; on disconnect we revoke the stored token / credentials.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service you consent to the processing described there, including processing of your inputs by the AI inference subprocessor (Groq), processing of payment data by Razorpay, and the limited use of Gmail data described in Section 9.
